Getting Started

The SmileOffers program is a digital coupon program that provides personalized bonus offers to AIR MILES Collectors who shop in our participating stores every week. These bonus offers can be either AIR MILES Bonus Miles or Instant Savings and are based on each customers shopping history at our stores, so you will have offers on the items your already enjoy and ones we think you might be interested in.

The SmileOffers program is available at the ThriftyFoods in British Columbia. Safeway stores in British Columbia operates a similar program and can be accessed at www.getmyoffers.ca

"All you need is to have an AIR MILES Card and to have earned at least 1 Reward Mile at Thrifty Foods! If you already have one, simply sign in by entering your card number and clicking Sign In.

If you’ve signed up to receive emails from the AIR MILES Rewards Program, you will also receive a email notifications whenever you have new personalized offers availaible. Sign up for emails at optin.airmiles.ca"

or

2. Visit your local participating store and a teammate will be happy to assist you.

When you enroll online, you will receive a temporary card that you can use until your permanent AIR MILES Card is mailed to you."

Anyone who has a valid AIR MILES Card and has earned at least 1 Reward Mile at Thrifty Foods automatically receives offers every at least once a week on Thursdays.

It's easy! All you have to do is load any available offers to your AIR MILES Card and then shop at Thrifty Foods and meet the conditions listed on the coupon. You can load your offers through this website, or one-click load when you are signed up to emails from AIR MILES. Thrifty Foods customers can also load their offers directly through the Mobile App, available on the App store or Google Play.

Once your offers are loaded, simply use your AIR MILES when you checkout at Thrifty Foods and meet the purchase conditions listed on the digital coupon. The offer will be instantly and can be seen on your receipt. Your redeemed offers will also immediately move to the redeemed tab on this site.

By loading offers to your AIR MILES Card, you will not be required to print and provide cashiers with a paper copy for redemption. Any SmileOffers digital coupons loaded to your card will automatically be redeemed when you meet the purchase conditions listed on the coupon and use your AIR MILES Card at checkout.

Yes. Each offer is only valid for a specific period of time, which is noted on the offer. Offers that are close to expiring will display an ‘Expiring Soon’ notification in the ‘Loaded’ section.

Customers who shop at both Thrifty Foods and Safeway grocery stores will have 2 sets of offers in their SmileOffers portal, each based on their Shopping history at those stores. Customers who have 2 sets of offers will need to check where the offer can be redeemed at when using offers. The Safeway program is marketed under the program name: MyOffers by Safeway.

Offers are selected based on the types of products you buy, and the ones we think you’ll love. The more you use your AIR MILES Card when you checkout at Thrifty Foods, the better we’re able to select offers just for you.

Your SmileOffers digital coupons are selected based on purchases made when your AIR MILES Card was used at checkout. Your friends’ offers may be different because they would have their own, unique purchase history.

Offers are based on your shopping history so make sure to contact AIR MILES at 1-888-AIRMILES (1-888-247-6453) and have your new card linked to your old card.

Your offers will stay on the ‘Available’ tab until they are loaded, redeemed or expire. If you are signed up to emails from AIR MILES or have the Thrifty Foods App, all of your offers will move from the Available tab to the Loaded Tab automatically when you click to load

View the ‘Loaded’ tab to see all of your loaded offers.

Your SmileOffers digital coupons stay on your card until you redeem them or they expire.

You will receive a new set of offers at least once a week on Thursday mornings. You can be notified when you have new offers waiting by signing up for emails at optin.airmiles.ca

The SmileOffers site is Mobile Responsive, so customers can log in from any device to see if they have new offers available before planning their next shop. Thrifty Foods customers who have the Mobile App can also check there to see if they have new offers available. "

You can redeem your ‘Loaded’ SmileOffers digital coupons at participating stores by simply using your AIR MILES Card at checkout and meeting the purchase conditions listed on the offer.

Yes, after loading your bonus offers to your AIR MILES Card, you will have the option to print a list for reference. You will not be required to present this list at checkout in order to redeem offers as this will automatically happen just by using your card and meeting the purchase conditions listed on the offer.

Most SmileOffers digital coupons are for single redemption only. However, offers that allow multiple redemptions will feature a progress bar. The progress bar is a convenient tracking tool that allows you to see how many times the offer has been redeemed. Offers with multiple redemptions will stay in the Loaded tab until all redemptions have been made.

If similar SmileOffers digital coupons are loaded, the offer that requires the highest spend will be redeemed first.

"Yes. If you have loaded your SmileOffers digital coupons prior to making an online purchase, and the same AIR MILES Card Number in on your online shopping account, any SmileOffers coupons will redeem when the purchase conditions have been met.

The SmileOffers digital coupon redemption will not show on the online, but you will see the offers move from the loaded to redeemed page on this site after the online purchase has been completed. "

Technical support

Yes, the SmileOffers website is mobile friendly and can be accessed on your smart phone or tablet. You can also download the Thrifty Foods Mobile App for free on the App store or Google Play to view your offers.

If you select ‘Remember Me on this device’, your AIR MILES Card number will be saved on the device you selected it for so you don’t have to provide it again. ‘Remember Me’ should not be selected if using a public computer.

To change the saved AIR MILES Card number, select “Sign in with a new card number” from the dropdown menu located under your name, enter your new number and click ‘submit’.
Missing Bonus Miles and/or Offers

You must always show your AIR MILES Card at checkout when redeeming offers. If you require further assistance, you can contact the myOffers Customer Service Centre by SmileOffersContactCentre@Sobeys.com or by phone at 1-844-896-3337. The myOffers Contact Centre is open Monday - Sunday from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm EST.

If you are missing Bonus Miles from a purchase where you swiped your AIR MILES Card at checkout, you can contact the SmileOffers Customer Service Centre and they can redeem the offers for you. The SmileOffers contact centre can be reached at SmileOffersContactCentre@Sobeys.com or by phone at 1-844-896-3337. The SmileOffers Contact Centre is open Monday - Sunday from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm EST.

All Reward Miles earned at Thrifty Foods, including those through the SmileOffers digital coupon program are transferred to your AIR MILES account once every 7-10 days, so you will not see these Miles immediately even though they are showing on your receipt. If you don’t see the Miles after 30 days, please visit www.airmiles.ca for further assistance.

Receiving emails from SmileOffers

You will receive emails from the SmileOffers program when new offers are available if you have signed up to receive emails from the AIR MILES Reward Program. The sender name of the email will be "SmileOffers by Thrifty Foods".

You will receive emails from the SmileOffers program whenever new offers are ready to load, at least once a week.

To receive emails from SmileOffers when new digital coupons are available you must be opted into receive emails from AIR MILES. You can easily sign up at optin.airmiles.ca

You can unsubscribe from receiving emails from SmileOffers from your preferred store by selecting the “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the email itself.

No, you can always access your SmileOffers digital coupons by signing into this site. Thrifty Foods customers who have the Mobile App can also access their digital coupons through the SmileOffers section of the App.

No, your weekly set of SmileOffers digital coupons are available shortly after midnight on Thursdays, so if you are shopping but have not received your email yet, you can access your SmileOffers digital coupons by signing into this site and loading your offers. Thrifty Foods customers who have the Mobile App can also access their digital coupons through the SmileOffers section of the App.
